Maybank Tower is now like almost like my second office (very soon it might even be my main office) and one of the new places that has been introduced to me serves really excellent briani (or beriyani - your choice of spelling)

Restoran Anuja is the name of the place and it's located on Jalan Pudu (55100 KL) just opposite the Pudu Raya bus terminal. It's just next to the pedestrian bridge that connects to Pudu Raya. Head upstairs if you prefer air condition comfort.

While they serve banana leaf rice, it's their chicken briani that's outstanding. The rice is so fragrant that you can even eat it on it's own.

Their curries are pretty mild. The fish curry hardly has any kick. The fried chicken, while very nicely fried, has almost no taste in the meat. So don't take the breast meat, stick to the chicken wings.

But the briani is so good, that I am willing to overlook the shortcomings here.

The lassi is a bit too diluted for my liking.

And price wise, it's really not too bad - RM61 for 6 people.
