Nasi Lemak - ah once again I have been hit by that craving again - after not having had a fix of nasi lemak for about 2 months because of a long term cough, I had three servings of nasi lemak in 2 days. What to do, I am a true blue anak Malaysia and I can't stay away from my nasi lemak for too long.

Asshifa Maju. located at Section 14, draws a good nightly crowd and the nasi lemak there is not too bad. I shun their neighbour as I have been to one of their outlets at Sunway. Check out Taj curry House in the Bad Bad Bad section.

The rice is warm and fragrant. The sambal while a bit on the salty side is savoury and spicy and thankfully not sweet. The ikan bilis (fried anchovies) and kacang (fried ground nuts) were crispy and salty. Perhaps there was no banana leave but that is OK. The fried chicken is only so so here so I think it's better just to have the plain nasi lemak without the fried chicken.

Perhaps another complain here is that the waiter that served us that night was extremely distracted or blur and we had to call him several times to get take our food order eventhough he took our drinks order without a problem.
