Maxis does CKT E-mail

Believe or not, Maxis actually has a restaurant and I am not talking about their cafeteria. Anyway here's the lowdown on this CKT place located at Taman Subang Perdana in the Kampung Subang area. That's near the Old Subang Airport, just in case you don't know. Watch out for it on the right once you have taken the left turn at the traffic light towards Kampung Subang. It's a corner lot among the 2 storey shophouses. Couldn't find a street address but I think it would be Jalan SP 2/2.

This place was from a suggestion by Ian Chin, a Malaysian CKT connoisseur now doing time in Singapore because he once had mee mixed into his CKT. :-)

Ian mentioned that this CKT had banana leaf, lap cheong, cockles & prawns. Ian, you are wrong! There's no lap cheong!!!!! I feel so cheated.

And on top of that the guy taking orders even got my order wrong. I asked for more chili and the plate came with hardly any chili in it. The lady doing the frying was nice enough to correct the mistake but that meant that she refried the CKT - which practically killed the cockles 'coz I like my cockles under-cooked.

This is the scoring. The taste was actually OK but I am taking 5% off for getting my order wrong. The price however kinda made me happy - RM2.50 per plate.

Final score

Taste 38%
Presentation 2%
Smell 2%
Banana leaf 5%
Oiliness 4%
Prawns & pork sausage 1%
Cockles 1%
Chili 5%
Coal fire 0%
Lard 0%
Total 58%
