Raymond introduced me to an awesome place for hokkien mee (if you are from Penang) or "har meen"/ prawn mee as it's called in Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya. It's located on a small lane at Jalan Pudu - which is a hotbed of street food that I have just discovered this year. The prawn mee comes either standard or with big prawns or with extra vegetable or with extra chicken gizzard. The soup is extremely tasty (and yes there's MSG but not overly much) but it's the extra options that makes it very good. This place probably serves the one of the best prawn mee in Kuala Lumpur. The stall is located right beside a hardware store (Thean Fah Hardware Store) and if you are coming from the city centre, it's after the Jalan Pudu Post Office. Park at the car park beside the Golden Asean hotel though it's not cheap. RM4 for parking. Prices start at RM3.50 per bowl and the stall is closed on Mondays. This is what street food is about.
