We decided that we had to sober up after dinner and decided to have coffee down the street from the Bird restaurant.
Catering to sweet tooth of the  neighbourhood of Bandar Menjalara is the Agong's pastry chef bakery, De Pastry Chef or at least he has baked for the Agong recently. He proudly displays his achievement.

It seems that this is where the beautiful people (our party definitely brought the beauty quotient down) of the area hang out. After all, al fresco dining is all the rage here and since the haze had cleared - people were out eating in droves again.

We went there for coffee and decided to have some cakes as well. The Hungaria Walnut (RM7) has got a strong coffee taste. The Hanish Vanilla (RM6.50) however was very good, not too sweet and with just the right amount of firmness to the texture of the cake.

Try their drinks like iced lemon tea where it's served in a huge glass cookie jar. Quite interesting looking.
