I had a dinner event at a leading 5 star chain hotel a few nights earlier. This was an industry dinner function and as I was reaching for the chicken salad, I noticed something moving along the rim of the plate. It was a baby cockroach and I immediately alerted a waiter to attend to it.
The waiter promptly despatched of the cockroach but left the plate of chicken salad there. HUH! Hey this is a 5 star chain hotel and this is what they do?????? If this happens at a road side restaurant, maybe I can understand but not a leading international chain hotel.
Next time, my standard operating procedure would be to take a picture of it first. And if they don't do anything about it, I at least have proof that it happenned. I don't think I am going back to that hotel again. |
