Taking over from what used to be Golden Bread Cage in SS 2 is A Little Dim Sum Place. They may call it little but the number of diners is certainly not little. We were there on a Sunday afternoon & the place was packed. Each plate of dim sum is freshly steamed so expect to wait a bit. Service is a bit slow but I tell you, once the food arrives it's worth the wait. If you are coming here with impatient people, then I would suggest you go somewhere else. The Bacon Roll was the first to arrive and we absolutely loved it. The bacon is fried first, then rolled around the fish ball. Very good start.
Deep fried fish ball was firm and fresh. Prawn Dumpling was very good and the taste extended to the skin as well. However skin was a bit soft but the taste made up for that shortcoming. Shiu Mai was not bad but i wish they had been more generous with the topping of fish roe on the shiu mai. King of Shiu Mai has nice fresh prawn on top of a shiu mai. Treasure bamboo had a bamboo shoot wrapped around the meatball. The meatball had lots of coriander in it which have it a very nice fresh taste. Century egg & Pork Porridge was not bad. Ramen with shrimp dumpling - excellent. Soup was tasty. Ramen was firm but springy. The shrimp dumpling reminded me of those I had in Guangzhou. Big & shaped almost like a goldfish. But all that is nought if the shrimp is not fresh. They did not disappoint. Awesome! I think the only misses was the Glutinous Rice (Loh Mai Kai) which was a bit too dry for our liking and the Fried Yam Puff which was a bit on the salty side. We had a issue where they said they delivered the Szechuan Surprise to us but we could not remember having seen it. what you need to next time is mark off on the order sheet what they have delivered. Our meal for 5 came up to about RM70. Not bad for the quality.
